The CS23 II is outfitted with Boston Acoustics' best audio technologies. The system incorporates Boston's Deep Channel Design: the polymer woofers are injected with graphite, allowing them to produce a more resonant bass sound without bottoming out. The Kortec tweeters feature a soft-dome design and have been treated with a stiffening agent to eliminate the high-frequency feedback that usually accompanies metal tweeters.
Together, the tweeters and woofers are able to reproduce frequencies ranging from 120 Hz to 25 KHz, ensuring faithful playback of your sound and music.

i recently purchased an Onkyo HT-s3500 system..but the speakers are garbage..but the subwoofer is awesome..so i bought new speakers...i have a pair of klipsch reference series for my fronts & center.And i bought these boston acoustics for my rears..These things are awesome!..can handle 110 watts easily..very crisp and bold..love the keyhole attachments...very easy to hang on walls..these are great for rear speakers in a 5.1 set up. They are worth every penny.

Please note: The item is called Boston Acoustic Classic II CS23 Bookshelf Speakers (as in plural) but this is for a SINGLE speaker, not a pair. The item title and description are misleading I think and moves these from affordable bookshelf speakers to mid-range (out of the price range i was looking for!). Granted, the pictures only show one speaker.
I have not plugged it in yet (one speaker wouldn't tell me too much anyway) so this review and the one star rating are purely for the misleading item description.
