The speakers may be a bit large for a bookcase speaker. But for its size it has rich true bass response and clear midrange and treble. The imaging is excellent with a good amp or receiver. I was very impressed with the sound quality for the price. It is an excellent bargain in my opinion.

I can't believe people use these as surround speakers. I use them as bookshelfs for my stereo and they blast crisp, clear sound and very high volumes for their size. One thing to note is that they sound a bit bright right out of the box but that dissapeared after a few weeks of use.

We installed this ES30 bookshelfs as Main LR front speakers and sounds very detailed highs with powerful bass.
I decided to use as Rears (with Omnimount Wall) for the home theater because we use ES80 as mains.
