Mylar® Ultrahigh-Frequency Driver
The JBL L810s take sound into the high-definition world by incorporating an ultra-high frequency driver capable of reproducing frequencies out past 40 kHz. Why is this important? That’s the realm of high-definition audio and the frequency response of today’s high-resolution sources such as Blu-ray Disc.™ Made of Mylar, this UHF driver is loaded into a patented JBL Bi-Radial® horn so that high frequencies have a wide and uniform dispersion, which means smooth high-frequency sound over a large listening area. Straight-Line Signal Path Networks
The most direct path for producing the cleanest, most accurate sound possible is in a straight line. JBL uses Straight-line Signal Path Networks in the L810s to ensure that the signal from the 5-way binding posts all the way through to the transducers is the most direct signal path possible. Add heavy-duty bypass capacitors and a 3-way crossover design not found in many loudspeakers that mount this flush to the wall, and the result is a clear, accurate signal no matter what the volume. So turn it up. The L810s are perfect for demanding music and movie soundtracks.
1-Inch Pure-Titanium Tweeter
When it comes to accurately reproducing all of the high frequencies from your favorite movie or the vocals from your favorite song, the L890s use technology straight from the recording studio. The JBL L810s feature a 1-inch pure-titanium-dome tweeter; titanium’s strength and light weight make it perfect for quickly and accurately reproducing high frequencies without strain or distortion. Titanium is the material of choice for many JBL professional music monitors, and the L810s are based on our professional models. These speakers are not tiny satellite modules which are meant to disappear in the room. Well, I think that's great; because not only do they sound amazing, but they look amazing too! I use these speakers as a B set in my living room away from my main home theater setup. I have two small children and I like to continue listening to audio while they are napping... so I have absolutely no need for the overwhelming boom and thump of a sub. Despite this, the bass these speakers deliver as a result of the dual ports is superior considering the size, and the high notes are clear and crisp, never sounding like they are coming from the inside of a tin can. I have diverse taste in music and have found that everything from old school hip-hop to classical piano and NPR sound perfectly excellent. They mounted easily to the wall and I am completely pleased. I would consider these for front and/or surround speakers in a home theater setup as well. If you want extra boom pair them with a sub for the complete package.

I bought these speakers to be the satellite surround speakers to go along with the JBL L890 front speakers. After a few user errors and getting to know my receiver a bit better these two speakers alone can speak for themselves. Deep accurate bass and crystal clear mids and highs for anything can put to them. Theater sound effects and every music imaginable (besides country) sound amazing. I get punchy bass at extremely low power output. At 130 watts at .05 THD these babies lack the bass bump but I expected that with a small woofer. However the low notes were present and deep. The clarity was clean Clear and concise. These didn't even break a sweat and made my ears ringing after only a few min of listening pleasure. I paid around 250 for them and these look SHARP. I liked these satellite speakers so much I bought a pair for almost every room in my house. Perfect application for side mounting on the wall. They fit perfectly on a 90 degree corner. Mounting hardware was included.

The speakers chosen have worked well for the upper channels and speakers. However, using the speakers for the front right and left just did not do the system sound quality and requires a min of two more floor mount speakers.
