JBL engineers designed the ES10 loudspeaker to produce precise, exceptional sound from a receiver or amplifier capable of delivering up to 200 watts of power.
Proprietary 4" PolyPlas low-frequency transducers
Stiff, lightweight PolyPlas transducers, with a rubber surround, reproduce vocals with incredible accuracy, give great bass response, create a seamless surround field and minimize distortion even at high volumes. Together, the drivers and surround provide you with an unmatched audio experience.
Dual .75" dome tweeters
The ES10’s extremely thin but rigid titanium-laminate high-frequency and ultrahigh-frequency tweeters deliver accurate, undistorted high frequency response, even when the volume is way up. The end result is a full, clear, tight reproduction of high frequencies.

I have trusted JBL since 1994 with my first set I purchased at the bankrupt Circuit City. I decided to replace my bookshelf speakers which I thought were just fine. What I was missing throughout the years! Excellent high frequency response and they adjust perfectly with my Onkyo Amplifier 7.1 setup. If you have an amp that utilizes the Audessey calibration method, it accurately analyzes and perfectly adjusts these excellent speakers for great surround sound. I thought the small 4" woofers may cause a problem with bass reproduction, but trust me, these guys held their own working in conjunction with my subwoofer. They are a bit heavy for the wall so you need to make sure that they are mounted safely. At 10 inches between each mounting post you will have a tough time hitting a stud. Use good anchors! The gold mounting posts for the speaker wire are top quality as usual. The bad thing about the pictures here at Amazon is they don't show the speaker grill. They mount onto the speaker utilizing four posts and use a black fabric with a logo on the bottom. The speakers are a gray color with a black trim. Very modern.

Been a fan of JBL for a long time. These speakers sound great and are pretty easy on the eyes. They have a nice mid and high range, but carry a surprisingly decent low end. All around great product for the money.

I found these book shelf speakers on a special Holiday sale and could not be happier. I was a little worried about not having a separate bass when buying them, but the sound couldn't be better. I totally recommend.
